Bay Area Metals

Changes Name To J And S Recycling

San Francisco, CA (August 31, 2009) – In April of 2009 San Francisco recycling center Bay Area Metals changed its name to J and S Recycling.  J and S, which as Bay Area Metals has offered metal recycling, plastic recycling, aluminum recycling, and more to Bay area residents for 25 years, remains committed to the same great customer service and safe, friendly environment it has always offered; all the while allowing conscientious residents to make extra money by returning certain recyclables.

J and S Recycling has long made it its mission to raise consciousness among Northern California residents as to the many benefits of recycling.  They offer recycling services for materials made from plastic, aluminum, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals across the board.  In addition, they offer cash for scrap metal and California Refund Value (CRV) on beverage containers made from aluminum, plastic and bimetal.  CRV is paid on the following types of beverages:

  • Beer and other malt beverages
  • Wine and distilled spirit coolers
  • Carbonated and non-carbonated fruit drinks
  • Sport drinks
  • Carbonated and non-carbonated water
  • Coffee and tea drinks

“As always education is the key, and the more people know about the benefits of recycling the more likely they are to practice it in their own lives,” says Sean Alfonso of J and S Recycling.  “We’ve always provided the finest in customer service and a safe and friendly environment for Bay area residents not only to recycle but in the case of certain items and materials to make a few extra bucks doing it.”

J and S Recycling strives to be your recycling source as they are for scores of Bay area residents.  In that spirit their doors are open to virtually any type of recyclable imaginable.

The list of items and materials they recycle includes but is not limited to:

  • Metal
  • Plastic
  • Aluminum
  • Glass
  • Copper
  • Scrap metal
